About Our Events

We strongly recommend joining our community on Discord and Facebook to get specific suggestions from experienced players. However, in general, you should plan to bring pillows and sheets/blankets for your bunk (twin size), toiletries and medication, as well as any costuming, props, and makeup needed for your character.

MirrorSight is a realistic high fantasy, meaning that people use magic to impact the world in both wonderful and terrible ways. The events and plotlines explored during our events will often reflect this. As such, the following content warnings may apply during MirrorSight events: • Horror elements • Loud Noises • Fog effects • Graphic violence • Simulated injury • Flashing lights • Absence of light • Mind Control and Charm effects • Cultural or religious antagonism (IN-GAME) These content warnings are not exhaustive. When possible, MirrorSight will give specific content warnings prior to players’ contact with the plot.

Weapons Check occurs during sign-in of every event. You must bring your boffer weapons, shields, and a sample of your packets to be inspected. A staffer or trained volunteer will make sure that they meet Accelerant combat safety standards, and, if they fail, explain why.

There is a relatively large parking area behind the dining hall, and a small one near the cottages. If both of these areas are full, you may park on the field behind the ropes course, along the treeline.

There are gravel roads that lead to or very near the main buildings we are using. You may use these to pull up to your assigned lodging.

Nope! We rarely ask players who have paid for an event to spend part of their weekend fighting on the NPC side, instead relying on volunteers from other LARPs. Very occasionally, PCs may be asked if they would like to “volunteer for a delivery route.” This is our in-game way of asking for volunteers for an NPC shift, and any PC that accepts will receive an in-game reward at the end of their shift.
